With a short turn-around time of 2-4 weeks, I will:

Audit existing trail resources to learn about and plan a trip on your trail.

Do your resources adequately prepare the hiker and create realistic expectations about the experience?

Is there enough information about permits, camping options, resupply, and water for planning purposes?

Is your vision and purpose for the trail adequately explained?

Can hikers read accounts of others who have hiked on your trail? Are there ways to obtain unbiased information about the hike?

Are there ways to engage the hiker after their hike?

Provide an assessment report with recommended next steps to edit, update, build, create, or design new or existing resources.

IN-DEPTH RESOURCE REVIEW
In addition to a full audit of existing trail resources as listed in the Quick Resource Review above, I will:

Conduct trail staff/board interviews.

Conduct stakeholder interviews.

Conduct local environmental issues review.

Plan and hike a section of your trail (2-5 days) to assess the hiking experience on your trail.

Provide an assessment report with recommended next steps to edit, update, build, create, or design new or existing resources.
The In-Depth Resource Review can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your organization or trail.
FULL IMMERSION RESOURCE REVIEW
In addition to a full audit of existing trail resources as listed in the Quick Resource Review above, I will:

Conduct interviews and assessments as listed in the In-Depth Resource Review above.

Plan and thru-hike your trail to assess the hiking experience on your trail.
During the hike I will:-
Take thorough notes on the trail experiences.

Explore environmental issues that affect the trail.

Meet and interact with previously identified communities, businesses, stakeholders, and agency partners.

Blog daily on my website: www.sherahikes.com and provide content to share or publish.

Hold meet-and-greets in trail communities along the way for the public to learn and interact with me and trail staff.

Pitch media stories, podcasts, and blogs during and after the hike.

Develop and hold presentations after the hike.
